The Past
Freedom Fans emerged from a profound appreciation for adventure. Its founder, Stephen Recktenwald, had a deep affection for the van life community. While converting his 1999 Ford E350 retired ambulance, he recognized the imperative of pioneering solutions to elevate the mobile lifestyle. Guided by this vision, he set out to create products that enable adventurers to embrace the freedom of travel while ensuring comfort remains paramount. The technological innovations integrated into our products are rooted in firsthand experiences gathered from extensive travels across the United States.
At present, our team is diligently engaged in the design and refinement process of our flagship product: a skylight featuring an integrated fan. We're excited to announce that preorders for this product are now open, with an anticipated delivery slated for 2025. Comprising a diverse group of engineers and fellow van dwellers, our team brings together expertise from various backgrounds, ensuring a keen understanding of the importance of durable components that not only last but also facilitate uninterrupted journeys on the road.
